Designed for classroom teachers across all academic disciplines from kindergarten through university level, the SAWP Summer Institute is an opportunity for professional growth and development, demonstration of promising practices, study of theory, and personal growth through writing.
This year’s Summer Institute runs from June 12, 2017 through July 7, 2017 and meets each day Monday through Friday 8 AM – 4 PM.

- 6 hours of graduate credit from the University of Texas at San Antonio (C&I 6803 / C&I 6813)
- Opportunities for rewarding and challenging growth through professional development
- The chance to write and learn with other excellent teachers from diverse backgrounds.
- After completing the Summer Institute, you are eligible to become a “Teacher Consultant” for SAWP and the National Writing Project, allowing you to present in-service for schools in the San Antonio area.
